The Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald Landesverband Thüringen e. V. aims to plant a tree for every child in Thuringia.

The path to the planting area is marked from the Langetal stop (line 14) and the Katharinentunnel.

The campfire will be lit and you can find out how the woodland got its illustrious name or why there will soon be sessile oaks among the spruce trees. Tree sponsorships can also be purchased for 5 euros each. Each sponsor receives a certificate and can mark the tree.
