Corona case numbers
- Currently 147 cases are reported in Jena.
- 49 persons are considered to have recovered, 6 persons are treated as inpatients, 2 in intensive care.
Local order is supported by private security services
As already reported in the press today, the colleagues of the Central Investigation and Enforcement Service of the City of Jena (ZEVD) are supported by private security companies.
Their tasks are limited to merely accompanying and securing the municipal employees. Tasks such as warnings and fines remain exclusively within the municipal jurisdiction of the city of Jena.
The extensive surveillance tasks made this step necessary. From the population, there is regular pressure for a nationwide presence of law and order forces.
Mouth and nose covering also obligatory for staff at food stalls
The obligation to cover one's mouth and nose when entering places to hand out food and drink is mandatory. This includes the vendors of the goods. The municipal order will pay more attention to this fact.
Continuous procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the city
Parallel to the support of the civic foundation for the procurement and distribution of mouth-nose covers to the population, the Jena city administration continuously procures protective masks, gloves, gowns and disinfectants to supply health care facilities. After supplying the nursing facilities/services located in the city area, all physiotherapists in private practice could be provided with personal protective equipment from municipal stocks.
Little by little, midwives, speech therapists and other important cornerstones of the health system are also being supported with protective equipment, who had reported to the city in the last few days.
City church open for individual prayer over Easter
The staff for extraordinary events has reached an agreement with the church district of Jena on the opening of the town church of St. Michael. This church will be accessible for silent prayer during the Easter holidays. Attention will be paid to keeping the minimum distance.
