Fortunately, there are no new corona cases today either.
This means 155 cases tested positive, 4 inpatient cases, one of them in intensive care,

Implementation of the Thuringian cabinet decision

The staff for extraordinary events today discussed the situation regarding the changes to the coronavirus containment measures announced by the Federal Chancellor and the Minister President of Thuringia. It is currently certain that there will be no changes to the existing measures in Thuringia next week. This means that no more stores will be open from Monday. The decisions made in Jena are based on the provisions of the Thuringian ordinance, which is expected to be published in the coming days.

The triad of face masks, social distancing and compliance with hygiene rules will continue to play a central role in easing restrictions in Jena. The home quarantine regulations for people returning from abroad and the temporary ban on employment for employees with coronavirus symptoms will also be continued.

City council and committees resume regular work

Important political bodies can now meet again in Jena. Decisions for the city with comprehensive political participation are therefore possible again.

The city is happy to take up the state's special regulation for political bodies now that it is possible again from the point of view of infection protection. The city council meeting on May 20 will therefore take place as planned. The city council will meet in the Volkshaus, where distancing and hygiene rules can be observed. Among other things, all attendees must wear a face covering and receive individual microphones. The session must not exceed 120 minutes. A maximum of 15 spectators can follow the meeting on site. As always, the meeting will also be broadcast live by JenaTV. The committees will also meet again in advance of the first council meeting. Meeting locations and dates are still being coordinated. The special committee will meet again on April 22.
