Federal State Secretary visits Jena

This Thursday, the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Ekin Deligöz, visited the Youth Welfare Service in the Family, Education and Social Affairs Department with a small delegation

In a joint discussion with Head of Department Eberhard Hertzsch, Head of Youth Welfare Rico Wohland, Integration Service Team Leader Christoph Klockau and Integration Service Social Worker Ms. Heinecke, the government representatives learned about the structure, status and working methods of the City of Jena's Integration Service.

From 2028, inclusive child and youth welfare is to be implemented nationwide by law. Jena is already implementing this approach. The local experience in this area was therefore of particular interest.

In addition to a lot of professional input, Ms. Deligöz and her colleagues visited the JenTower to get an overall impression of the city of Jena with a "city tour from above" by Mr. Hertzsch.
