Focus on fair fashion: join in, swap, consume more consciously
Where do our clothes come from - and under what conditions are they produced?
These questions are the focus of the event "Fair fashion, join in!", to which the city administration of Jena, together with the One World Network Jena e. V. and UmsonstHaus Jena (MobB e. V.), invites you to the Stadtlab Jena on Friday, April 24, 2026. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., participants can look forward to an interactive afternoon focusing on sustainability and fair trade in the global textile industry.
In short impulses, discussion rounds and hands-on activities, interested parties will gain insights into the social and ecological challenges of global fashion production. At the same time, possible courses of action will be presented to show how each and every individual can contribute to fairer and more resource-conserving consumption. The aim of the event is to jointly develop suggestions for a more conscious approach to clothing.
A special highlight of the event is the clothes give-away campaign organized by the UmsonstHaus Jena. Here, well-preserved items of clothing can be turned into new favorites - true to the motto of giving away instead of buying. This gives clothes a second life and at the same time creates a visible sign of sustainability and conscious consumption. A selection of clothing for adults and children is available for you.
- When? Friday, April 24, 2026, 1-4 p.m.
- Where? Stadtlab Jena, Markt 1, 07743 Jena
