Free mask allocation for JenaBonus holders
Protective masks should be made possible for all citizens
The new pandemic ordinance announced by the Free State of Thuringia for next week calls for increased protection with medical masks.
The crisis team of the city of Jena has been looking for a way to provide low-income people with this protective material.
Together with the DRK Jena-Eisenberg-Stadtroda, an offer has been set up for this purpose. From Tuesday, 26.01.2021, a distribution station for FFP2 masks and medical face masks will open in the special sales area of the main branch of Sparkasse Jena, Holzmarkt / Löbdergraben. People with a Jenabonus authorization card will receive 3 FFP2 masks and 10 pieces of medical face masks free of charge until the end of February.
The DRK will also be selling protective masks at cost price to anyone interested (MNS pack of 50 masks for €20.00, FFP2 masks for €2.00 each, 10 masks for €19.00).
Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00. Opening is planned until the end of February.
Further issuing point in Lobeda
The special offer for Jenabonus holders can also be used in Lobeda, DRK-Seniorenbegnungsstätte Ernst-Schneller-Straße 10. There is no sale here. The following days are planned for the distribution: Wednesday, 27.01., Friday, 29.01., Tuesday, 02.02. and Thursday, 04.02.2021. Please do not forget the authorization form.
The protective masks issued free of charge are financed by the city. The crisis team would like to thank the DRK for the uncomplicated implementation.
Irrespective of this, the health insurance companies continue to offer people over 60 years of age and high-risk patients discounted FFP2 masks through pharmacies.
