Free swimming fun for children: outdoor pool promotion from 20.06. - 31.07.2024

Campaign enters its third round

• From June 20 to July 31, children up to the age of 14 can visit the Ostbad at the foot of the Jenzig and the Südbad in the middle of Paradies free of charge.
• Thanks to the sponsoring partners Carl Zeiss AG, Lions Club Jena "Paradies", Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck GmbH and Langnese.
• Outdoor pools open daily from 09:00 to 20:00 during the summer vacations.

The summer vacations are just around the corner and now it's certain: this year, too, all children up to the age of 14 can visit Jena's outdoor pools free of charge. The free admission is made possible by a joint campaign of the Jena swimming pools with great sponsors such as Carl Zeiss AG, the Lions Club Jena "Paradies", Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck GmbH and Langnese.

"It was particularly important to the pool advisory board to make free admission for children possible again this year during the summer vacations. I am therefore very grateful to all the sponsors for their support in making this campaign a success once again. With this offer, we want to give children the opportunity to spend their vacations in an active and varied way. I am particularly pleased that the campaign is in great demand from families and after-school clubs," says Benjamin Koppe, Head of the Sports Department and Chairman of the Swimming Pool Advisory Board.

Children were already able to visit the two outdoor pools free of charge during the last two summers thanks to sponsorship. The vacation offer was very well received. Susan Zetzmann, Managing Director of Jenaer Bäder says:

"After the positive experiences of the past two years, we are delighted to be working with new partners again to offer children free admission. We hope that the outdoor pools will be at the top of vacation excursion lists. We and our pool team extend a warm welcome to every guest who visits our wonderful outdoor pools."

Visitor information

Both outdoor pools are open daily from 09:00 to 20:00 during the vacations. A ticket for children is also required for free admission. Tickets are available at the outdoor pool ticket offices or in advance as an online ticket(link is external).
