From 18.05. Preparation for "restricted regular operation" in children's facilities
Today, the new Corona Ordinance of the Free State of Thuringia was published - the Thuringian Ordinance on the Release of Previously Restricted Areas and the Further Development of the Measures Required to Contain the Spread of the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 of 12.05.2020.
Section 7 of this ordinance refers to the start of restricted regular operations in daycare facilities. It stipulates that care must continue to be provided using protective measures in accordance with the Federal Infection Protection Act.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport is giving the administrative districts and independent cities the opportunity to gradually switch all childcare facilities to restricted regular operation under their own responsibility from May 18 until June 15. The ministry has not yet issued a binding statement on the definition and permissible scope of restricted regular operation. The design of the framework is currently being negotiated between the city and the ministry.
Due to the need to adequately prepare all operators of children's facilities for a yet-to-be-defined restricted regular operation, the responsible representatives of the city administration, led by the Head of the Department for Family, Education and Social Affairs, agreed yesterday with the operators of children's facilities in the city of Jena to continue the emergency care until May 22nd.
The current extension applies to all pre-school children and their siblings.
Currently, of the approx. 5,700 children registered in Jena's daycare centers, around 1,200 are in emergency care in accordance with the state's previous framework.
The city administration intends to use the next week, together and in coordination with the Jena operators of children's facilities, to clarify the framework for care from May 25 with the responsible ministry in order to be able to prepare the next stage of restricted regular operation.
