Gale-force gusts expected in Jena
The Jena fire department warns.
The DWD has issued an official storm warning. Hurricane-force gusts of up to 115 km/h are also expected for the city of Jena.
- Avoid being outdoors if this is unavoidable, keep your distance from trees, houses, etc.
- Do not enter the woods!
- Watch out for falling branches and roof tiles
- Keep windows, doors and house entrances closed
- Construction site equipment (fences, scaffolding, etc.) must be specially secured
- Secure garden furniture, flower boxes, etc.
- Postpone unnecessary car journeys
If you are traveling by car
- reduce your speed
- Exercise extreme caution, especially when overtaking on highways

- Do not enter forests!
- There is still danger from loosened roof tiles, branches, etc.
- A large amount of leaves can be expected on the roads - danger of slipping!
