Health authority at breaking point
The employees of the Health Service are continuing to do everything they can to process reports of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, the Bundeswehr had to pause the operation, but help from the Bundeswehr will arrive again on Wednesday. The State Administration Office has also provided supporting personnel.
Despite this valuable help, the incredible volume of incoming cases and numerous telephone and e-mail inquiries are making it difficult to work quickly. Unfortunately, many positive cases from doctors' surgeries are not currently available in a timely manner.
The public is therefore asked to be patient. Please observe the following rules:
If you have a positive test:
- Go into self-isolation immediately.
- Follow the behavioral guidelines for people who test positive.
- Inform your direct contacts.
- The public health department will contact you by telephone. If you have not provided a telephone number for sampling, please send us an e-mail with your contact details.
- Quarantine orders will then be sent by post, or by email beforehand if requested.
If you have been reported as a contact person and are unvaccinated::
- Please send an email to gesundheitsamt@jena.de with the information listed here: https://gesundheit.jena.de/de/coronavirus#1276
There is also a contact form available.
- According to the current recommendation, fully vaccinated persons without symptoms do not need to be quarantined. In this case we need your proof of vaccination. Please send this to the e-mail address gesundheitsamt@jena.de.
