"Healthy work" award for Kommunalservice Jena
Objective: to create healthy and motivating working conditions in the long term
Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ), the city's own company, was awarded the "Thuringian Seal for Healthy Work" in bronze on Wednesday.
Our measures were honored with the bronze seal. This makes us one of two award winners in 2019.
reported Deputy Plant Manager Katrin Höckrich to the members of the KSJ Works Committee on Wednesday evening.
In 2018, we set out to actively support the introduction and implementation of "Healthy Work" measures and the search for needs-oriented service offerings. Our goal is to create healthy and motivating working conditions in the long term
said Höckrich.
For example, two health days have already been organized for employees, an employee has been hired to take care of occupational health management, water dispensers have been introduced and an agreement has been concluded with the staff council on occupational integration management in order to ensure the smoothest possible transition from incapacity for work to employability.
In addition: "Award for special commitment to healthy working in the company"
The representatives of Kommunalservice Jena were surprised when they were also presented with the "Advancement Award for Special Commitment to Healthy Work in the Company" for their initiatives to promote the health of company employees. This prize was endowed by the "Network for Healthy Work in Thuringia" with prize money of no less than 1,000 euros.
The background
The "Thuringian Seal for Healthy Work" is awarded to all interested companies and public service institutions that voluntarily undergo an audit of their health-promoting measures on the basis of defined criteria and can demonstrate a high level of commitment in the areas of employee health and health-promoting working conditions and measures.
The certificate is awarded for 3 years. First, a comprehensive questionnaire had to be completed in application round 1 in order to be considered for the award. This was followed by several on-site inspections and workshops with the jury members.
