Housing companies offer rewards

11.04.2019

On the night of 9 March 2019, serious arson attacks were carried out in Jena city centre. Access was gained to the cellars of the apartment buildings at Weigelstraße 2, Frauengasse 20, Saalstraße 8a and Zwätzengasse 13 and fires were deliberately set. In the days before, several cellar break-ins had been committed in Jena-Lobeda. These can be linked to the aforementioned arsons.

The two housing companies jenawohnen and Wohnungsgenossenschaft 'Carl Zeiss' eG have now decided to jointly offer a reward of 5,000 euros.

The reward is for information of sufficient importance that was not known to the investigating authorities at the time the reward was offered and is intended exclusively for private individuals.

The city of Jena, the police and the Jena fire department are very grateful to the companies for releasing these funds.

Please send any information to the Jena police, Am Anger 30,

by telephone on 03641 - 81 11 21 or 81 11 22.

The phones are manned around the clock.
