How can the streets become more interesting and safer for children?
Which routes do children take to school, where do they cross roads and how can the routes be made more interesting and safer for them? This is the focus of Prof. Bernhard Meyer's "Playable City" concept, which is now also to be applied in Jena. In July 2023, 400 pupils from Westschule Jena marked their routes home with chalk arrows. The markings were evaluated by Prof. Meyer and his team. The team will present concrete design proposals for the upcoming renovation of the streets around the Westschule on Thursday, 21.09.2023.
