Important information on collecting crown corks in the treasure trove recycling centers

Until now, Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ) has collected not only crown caps but also tin cans and tinplate screw caps for a good cause.

From now on, however, the conditions for acceptance will change: only crown caps from drinks bottles may be placed in the collection garbage cans (treasure chest). All screw caps (e.g. from jam jars, fruit jars, vegetable jars or similar products) are excluded by the recycler for various reasons and may no longer be brought in. Other materials such as tin cans, lids and tea light bowls are also excluded from collection. These belong in the yellow garbage can.

Otherwise, there is a risk that the collection system cannot continue to operate in its current form. The KSJ therefore asks for your support and care in separating the materials.
