Information event on pedestrian frequency measurement in Jena's city center
In future, the city of Jena plans to anonymously measure how many people move around the city center and how visitor flows are distributed. The city of Jena wants to better understand how many people are in the city center and which routes they use. To this end, completely anonymous counts are to be carried out in future. It is important to note that no individuals are identified and no personal data is stored - the sensor technology only counts movement flows.
At a public information event, we will provide transparent information about the project, explain the technology in an understandable way and answer any questions. We will also show what the data obtained can be used for - for example, for urban development, strengthening trade, promoting tourism or organizing events in a meaningful way.
