Information on the power of attorney

16.03.2022

A health care proxy or a care directive can be used to determine who may dispose of personal affairs in the event of a sudden accident or illness.

The areas to be covered by this power of attorney or directive can bedecided individually.

The care authority of the city of Jena regularly provides information and advice on the granting of a power of attorney by appointment and has current forms available. With such a power of attorney, court supervision can be avoided.

As such powers of attorney are not always available, voluntary court caregivers are always sought. The specialist social services department also provides advice on this activity.
