Jena bans neo-Nazi march on May 1
Klaus Armstroff, chairman of the small right-wing extremist party "Der III. Weg" registered a May Day rally in Leipzig, Plauen, Schweinfurt and Zwickau, as well as yesterday in Jena.
The cities of Leipzig, Zwickau and Plauen have since banned this rally, as it can be assumed that there is potential for mobilization among corona deniers and lateral thinkers. This group of people is known for not adhering to infection protection concepts and measures to contain the coronavirus pandemic. There is therefore a high risk to the population of Jena due to potential non-compliance with infection control measures.
For this reason in particular, the city of Jena has issued a prohibition order banning the gathering. This also applies to all alternative events in the city. In addition, the applicant was ordered to announce the ban via his mobilization channels.
