New closures / obstructions

Hermann-Löns-Straße

• Type: Temporary half road closure
• Location: At Mühlenstraße
• Duration: 08 - 12.04.2024
• Reason: Search shafts for the purpose of a cable route
• Details: Traffic will be diverted past the construction site by means of signage.
• Note: In addition, a one-way street will be set up in Mühlenstraße between the junction with Hermann-Löns-Straße and the junction with Am Knollen, which can be driven on in the direction of Kahlaische Straße.

Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At the level of Erlenhöfe
• Duration: 08.04. - 03.05.2024
• Reason: New sidewalk construction
• Details: Traffic will be guided by construction site traffic lights. Longer waiting times and obstructions are to be expected.

2x Löbstedter Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House numbers 9 - 11
• Duration: 08.04. - 19.04.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering work for a media connection
• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 49 a
• Duration: 08.04. - 19.04.2024
• Reason: Construction of a domestic drinking water connection
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Schlachthofstraße.

• Note:Buses on routes 43, 430 and 431 will be running on a different route in the meantime. The bus stops Wiesenstraße, Schlachthofstraße and Löbstedter Straße are no longer available (both directions). Replacement stops will be set up in Wiesenstraße and Am alten Gaswerk.

Rautal

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Erich-Kuithan-Straße and Naumburger Straße
• Duration: 08.04. - 26.04.2024
• Reason: Road surface renovation (postponed to 2024 due to weather conditions)
• Details: Traffic from the direction of Closewitz will already be informed of the full closure or diverted at Closewitzer Straße, other traffic from the direction of Jägerbergstraße/Am Heiligenberg should use the detour via Erich-Kuithan-Straße.

Scharnhorststraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Leipziger Straße and Camburger Straße
• Duration: 09.04.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering work for renovation work on the gas pipeline

Schützenhofstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house numbers 36 - 38
• Duration: 08.04. - 19.04.2024
• Reason: Construction of a domestic drinking water connection
• Details: During this time, bus traffic will be routed via Schützenhofstraße to the north, which is why large areas will have to be closed to traffic. Information boards and a detour will be signposted.
• Please note: The buses on route 15 will be running on a different route. The Pfälzer Straße (both directions) and Schützenhofstraße bus stops will be closed. Passengers are requested to use the An der Eule stop and the alternative stops on Ottogerd-Mühlmann-Straße and Schützenhofstraße to board and alight the bus.

Teichgraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: 08.04. - 24.05.2024
• Reason: Renovation of the bus stop (accessibility) incl. surface course work
• Details: Traffic will be maintained by means of one-way traffic regulations. The one-way street can be driven in the direction of Leutragraben. A one-way street will also be set up in the Nonnenplan area.
• The cab ranks in the Nonnenplan area will be relocated. The replacement locations will be in the Leutragraben area opposite McDonald's and at the beginning of Krautgasse next to the Volksbank.
• A replacement stop will be set up by local transport in Nonnenplan, further information can be found at www.stadtwerke-jena.de/nahverkehr.
• Addition: Please do not park any vehicles in the Holzmarkt area. It must be possible for local transport to pass through this area safely and smoothly. The public order office will carry out increased checks in the Holzmarkt area.

Existing closures

Brückenstraße / Leibnizstraße

• Type: Half-sided closure in the form of a one-way street regulation
• Duration: until 10.05.2024
• Reason: Laying of district heating pipe
• Details: The one-way street is passable in the direction of Kunitz. Out-of-town traffic will be diverted via the street "Am Steinbach".
• Note: In the period from 03. to 18.04.2024, the one-way street regulation will be temporarily suspended so that Brückenstraße is passable in the meantime. This is due to important work being carried out by Jenaer Nahverkehr on the tracks in Naumburger Straße between Rautal and Flurweg. In order to maintain the flow of traffic, the existing traffic organization will be temporarily suspended. Once the work in Naumburger Straße has been completed, the one-way traffic organization in Brückenstraße will be reactivated.

Dammstraße

• Type: Full closure
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Laying of pipes and renewal of the road surface
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection

• Type: Temporary closure
• Location: between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West
• Duration: until 03.05.2024
• Reason: Remaining work

Erlanger Allee

• Type: Traffic restrictions
• Location: from the pedestrian crossing at Paul-Schneider-Straße
• Duration: until 19.04.2024
• Reason: Road surface renovation
• Details: There will be various construction phases during the construction period. Detour signs will be set up on site. The construction site can be passed safely on foot. Please refer to the diagrams for further information.

Fritz-Reuter-Straße

• Type: Full road closures in sections
• Duration: until 12.04.2024
• Reason: Reconstruction of the combined sewer

Grenzstraße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At house numbers 2 - 4
• Duration: until 26.04.2024
• Reason: Construction of an apartment building
• Details: Pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site using an emergency pedestrian route.

Hermann-Löns-Straße

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: at the level of the crosswalk to the junction with Mühlenstraße
• Duration: until 31.07.2024
• Reason: Laying of medium voltage cable
• Details: Traffic will be guided past the construction site by means of a mobile traffic light system

Johannisstraße

• Type: Traffic restrictions
• Location: Eastern Johannisstraße 17 - 22
• Duration: until 26.04.2024
• Reason: Remaining work laying district heating (Stadtwerke Jena)
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot. Cyclists must push due to insufficient remaining width. Provided the weather cooperates, the construction work can be completed ahead of schedule at the end of March. This means that there should be as little disruption as possible for outdoor catering and visitors to the spring market.

Lichtenhainer Oberweg

• Type: Various restrictions
• Location: Tatzendpromenade junction to the access road to the P10 Zeiss parking lot
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of district heating pipeline
• Details: From 25.03. to 30.06.2024, the work will initially be carried out with the road closed on one side. For this purpose, Lichtenhainer Oberweg will become a one-way street in the direction of Lichtenhain. A detour via Mühlenstraße will be signposted for traffic heading into the city. From July onwards, the Lichtenhainer Oberweg will have to be fully closed in sections. The construction site will gradually work its way from the upper part of Lichtenhainer Oberweg towards Tatzendpromenade. Detour will be signposted via Friedrich-Körnerstrasse, Döbereinerstrasse and Philipp-Müller-Strasse. Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck asks for your understanding for the restrictions.

Lobeda Ost and Lobeda Altstadt

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 07.06.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Löbichauer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: lower Löbichauer Straße (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße to Eschenplatz)
• Duration: until 30.11.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Pedestrians will be safely rerouted.

Naumburger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: until 30.04.2024
• Reason: Reconstruction of the streetcar stop "Stifterstraße" + installation of track replacement
• Details: During the construction period, a one-way street will be installed from the Zitzmannstraße junction to Altenburger Straße. The one-way street is passable in the direction of the city center. The construction site can be passed safely on foot.
• Addition: In the period 25.03. - 19.04.2024, additional civil engineering work must be carried out at the local transport construction site. This involves removing large quantities of earth from the construction site. In order to be able to carry out this work using excavators, the road must be fully closed in order to maintain the safety distances. The road will then be closed again on one side only.

Nollendorfer Strasse

• Type: Full closure
• Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Major road renovation

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.04.2024
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Details: The mobile traffic light system will be reactivated. Entry to the Oberaue is possible.

Remderoda

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Road in the direction of Remderoda
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Laying of drinking water pipe
• Details: A detour via Münchenroda will be signposted.

Schroeterstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the junction with Strigelstraße to the junction with Am Friedensberg
• Duration: until 30.04.2024
• Reason: Fundamental expansion of the road
• Details: A second construction phase for the rest of the road is expected to follow from May 2024

Winzerlaer Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: between the junction of Adolf-Reichwein-Straße and the junction of Rosalind-Franklin-Straße
• Duration: until 09.04.2024
• Reason: Reconstruction work
• Details: During the construction period, an emergency sidewalk and a construction site access/exit will be set up. Motorized individual traffic will be guided past the construction site by means of a mobile traffic light system.

Wöllnitz

• Type: Temporary road closure on one side + footpath closure
• Duration: until 31.05.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Ziegenhain

Ernst-Haeckel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Erbertstraße and Sellierstraße

• Reason: Work on the drinking water pipeline
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via the following route: Vor dem Neutor - Knebelstraße - Am Eisenbahndamm - Fürstengraben

Eastern Löbdergraben

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Steinweg and Lutherplatz
• Duration: 15.04. - 09.08.2024
• Reason: Media relocation and road construction measures
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via the following route: Am Eisenbahndamm - Am Anger - Lutherplatz. Pedestrians use the western side of Löbdergraben.

Keßlerstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Göschwitzer Straße and Geraer Straße
• Duration: 15.04. - 04.06.2024
• Reason: Road expansion
• Details: 1st construction phase of the basic expansion in the area of Genzstraße. A detour will be signposted on site.

Naumburger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: between Rautal and Flurweg
• Duration: 16.04. - 18.04.2024
• Reason: Surface opening for local traffic
• Details: Traffic will be guided past the construction site on both sides by means of traffic lights.
• Note: During this period, Brückenstraße is passable in both directions.
