- Location: between Ammerbach and Nennsdorf
- Duration: 01. to 05.06.2026
- Reason: Road rehabilitation
- Details: A detour will be signposted.
K 12
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between Closewitz and Cospeda
- Duration: 02.06. to 10.07.2026
- Reason: Road surface renovation
- Details: The detour is via Lützeroda. The adjacent hiking parking lot is not accessible or usable during this time.
Löbdergraben
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between the junction of Fürstengraben and the junction of Saalstraße (southbound)
- Duration: 01.06.2026, 05:00 hrs to 04.06.2026, 20:00 hrs
- Reason: Crane installation
- Details: The closure can be bypassed via Lutherplatz - Am Anger - Am Eisenbahndamm.
Announcements/Notes
Track expansion around the Paradies station
- Type: Restrictions and closures
- Location: neuralgic point
- Duration: 29.06.2026 until approx. 31.03.2027
- Reason: Renewal of the streetcar line
- Details: The measure will be carried out in 3 construction phases. Detailed network plans and timetable changes will be published in good time before the start of construction. Current information can be found at www.stadtwerke-jena.de/gleisbau-paradies
- 1st construction phase (29.06. to 15.10.2026): Closure of the Paradiesbrücke track section up to and including the Paradiesbahnhof stop. Changes to the network plan for lines 1, 4 and 5.
- 2nd construction phase (15.10. until the end of 2026): Closure of the track section between the Paradiesbahnhof stop and the Holzmarkt track triangle. This construction phase will lead to an interruption of streetcar traffic and the division into a north and south network.
- 3rd construction phase (spring 2027): Renewal of the small level crossing on the approach to Paradiesbahnho. This will take place without restrictions for local traffic.
OBI tunnel
- Type: Complete closure of the footpath/cycle path
- Location: Camburger Straße to the OBI tunnel
- Duration: 15.06. to 14.08.2026
- Reason: Expansion of the footpath/cycle path
- Details: The tunnel will not be passable during this time due to the adaptation work. The detour will be via the Saalbahnhof tunnel.

Existing closures
August-Bebel-Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: from house number 27a to Botzstraße
- Duration: until 20.11.2026
- Reason: fundamental expansion
- Details: The construction site will be extended to Botzstraße from 16.03.2026. Residents from Wilhelm-Külz-Straße will still be able to access August-Bebel-Straße. A detour is signposted. Customers can only reach the Norma supermarket on foot.
Göschwitz station, forecourt
- Type: Complete closure
- Duration: until 30.06.2026
- Reason: Fundamental expansion of the area
- Details: The construction site can be safely passed on foot in the direction of Göschwitz station. A limited number of bicycle parking spaces will be provided opposite the streetcar stop in the green area. Alternatively, bicycles can also be parked in the western area of the station.
Bernhard-Schultze-Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Duration: until 02.10.2026
- Reason: fundamental expansion with pipeline and sewer construction
- Details: The work will be carried out in two construction phases. A detour will be signposted.
- 1st construction phase: Am Steinborn from Löbichauer Straße to Bernhard-Schultze-Straße
- 2nd construction phase: Am Steinborn street to Klopfleischstraße
Carl-Zeiss-Platz
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: House numbers 12 to 14

- Reason: Renovation and new construction of the German Optical Museum
Dornburger Straße
- Type: Various road closures
- Location: House number 6
- Duration: until 31.10.2026
- Reason: New house construction
- Detail: There is a one-way regulation into the city. The cordoned-off area will be used for construction site equipment and loading and unloading. Out of town, the detour is via Spitzweidenweg and Nollendorfer Straße.
Eisenberger Straße
- Type: Full closure of the sidewalk
- Location: House number 11 to 15
- Duration: until 03.06.2026
- Reason: Installation of an electrical connection
- Details: An emergency footpath will be set up on the road. Traffic will be routed via the left-turn lane. The speed limit is 30 km/h.
Fritz-Reuter-Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Duration: until 21.10.2026
- Reason: Reconstruction of drinking water, mixed water and electrical pipes
- Details: The work will be carried out in two construction phases. A detour will be signposted.
- 1st construction phase: From Kronfeldstraße to Viktor-von-Scheffel-Weg
- 2nd construction phase: Viktor-von-Scheffel-Weg to Tatzendpromenade, start approx. April 2026
Forstweg (bridge)
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between house numbers 12 to 24
- Duration: until 20.12.2026
- Reason: Replacement construction of the bridge
- Details: The road is only accessible from both directions up to the bridge. Depending on the construction work, there may also be parking and stopping restrictions. From 27.05.2026, pedestrian and cycle traffic will also be diverted via Kochstraße, Magdelstieg and Hornstraße. All road users are urgently requested to adhere to the existing traffic routing at all times. There is a considerable danger to life in the area of the construction site due to the existing excavation pit.

Corridor road
- Type: Complete closure
- Duration: until 12.06.2026
- Reason: Renewal of the asphalt surface
- Details: The measure will be carried out in 2 construction phases. The closures can be bypassed via the adjacent road network.
- 2nd construction phase (13.04. to 12.06.2026): From the junction of Schreckenbachweg to the road Am Rosenhang, incl. Maria-Pawlowna-Straße.
Gembdental
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: House number 20 to Gartenweg
- Duration: until 30.06.2026
- Reason: Replacement of the drinking water pipe
University Hospital stop (Erlanger Allee)
- Type: Closure of one lane inbound and one lane outbound
- Duration: until 15.06.2026
- Reason: Renovation work at the stop
- Details: The surrounding roads are not affected and can still be used. A replacement stop for the streetcar will be set up in the westbound/townbound direction.
Jenertal stop (Stadtrodaer Straße)
- Type: Closure of one lane
- Duration: until 23.06.2026
- Reason: Renovation work at the bus stop
- Details: The bus stop will be taken out of service during this time. A replacement stop for the streetcar will be set up in the north/city direction. It will still be possible to cross the road on foot.
Herderstrasse
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between Wartburgstraße and Westendstraße
- Duration: until 30.07.2026
- Reason: Change in power line routing (underground in future)
- Details: Ramps and temporary, alternating and low-barrier paths can be used on foot. Cyclists please use the detour and do not park bicycles on the sidewalk due to lack of space.
Lessingstraße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between Fröbelstieg and Max-Wien-Platz
- Duration: until 31.12.2026
- Reason: Civil engineering works and construction site transportation
- Details: The construction site can be bypassed via Helmholtzweg.
Naumburger Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: Jena town exit to the junction with Carl-Orff-Straße Süd
- Duration: 1st construction phase until 30.11.2026
- Reason: Comprehensive infrastructure measure (renewal of the road/sidewalks and cycle paths/lines, streetcar extension)
- Details: The detour is extensive in both directions from Camburg / Rodameuschel via the L1070 to Trotz, from Trotz on the B7 via Bürgel to Jena. The Carl-Orff-Straße Süd junction is passable throughout.

Philosophenweg
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: Junction with Max-Wien-Platz up to house number 32
- Duration: until 05.06.2026
- Reason: Replacement of the drinking water pipe
- Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.
Remderodaer Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between Münchenrodaer Grund and the railroad bridge
- Duration: until 16.10.2026
- Reason: Replacement of the drinking water pipeline and road surface renovation
- Details: A detour will be signposted.
Sankt-Jakob-Straße
- Type: Complete closure of southern carriageway
- Location: between Kritzegraben and Spittelplatz
- Duration: until 31.12.2026
- Reason: fundamental expansion of the area
- Details: People on foot or by bike will be diverted via Philosophenweg in the direction of Sankt-Jakob-Straße. The streets Kritzegraben, Am Planetarium and Sophienstraße can be used without restriction.
Theobald-Renner-Straße
- Type: Half road closure and full road closure
- Location: Full closure at house number 2
- Duration: until 17.07.2026
- Reason: Road rehabilitation
- Details: Traffic jams are to be expected.
- The properties and parking lots are accessible.
- The full closure at house number 2 can be bypassed via the Theobold-Renner-Straße loop.
- Access to the swimming pool and parking lot is guaranteed.
Wöllnitz pedestrian bridge
- Type: Restrictions and closures
- Location: in the area of Stadtrodaer Straße
- Duration: until 12.09.2026
- Reason: Bridge renovation
- Details: The measure will be carried out in 5 construction phases. In the 4th and 5th sections, the bridge will be closed to pedestrian and cycle traffic.
- 4th construction phase (13.04. to 26.06.2026): Closure of the outbound lanes, traffic will be diverted to the opposite direction.
- 5th construction phase (27.06. to 20.09.2026): Closure of the inbound lanes, traffic will be diverted to the opposite direction.
