New closures / obstructions

Forstweg, Am Birnstiel and Okenstraße

• Type: Partial half-side road closures and sidewalk closures
• Duration: 11.08. to 19.12.2025
• Reason: Laying of medium-voltage and low-voltage cables
• Details: Staged expansion from street to street - pedestrians will be guided safely past the construction site.

Landgrafenstieg

• Type: Complete road closure
• Location: between the junction with Fraunhoferstraße and the junction with Helmholtzweg
• Duration: 11.08. to 15.08.2025
• Reason: Accident (gas pipeline fault)
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Announcements

Eisenberger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: near the junction Vor der Gembdenmühle
• Duration: 26.08. to 28.08.2025, daily from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
• Reason: Tree maintenance work
• Details: Traffic will be guided past the construction site by traffic lights.

• Details: The construction site can be safely passed on foot.

Camburger Straße

• Type: Restrictions in the sidewalk area
• Location: At house number 5 to 58

Carl-Zeiß-Platz

Dammstraße

2x Dornburger Straße

• Reason: New house construction
• Detail: Until 31.10.2025, a one-way regulation has been set up in the area of Dornburger Straße 6 (half-sided closure, direction of travel into town). The restricted area will be used for loading and unloading and for setting up the construction site. Out-of-town traffic will be diverted via Spitzweidenweg and Nollendorfer Straße.

• Details: A one-way street regulation applies into the city. Out of town, the detour is via Camburger Straße/ Scharnhorststraße.

Ernst-Thälmann-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between house number 1 and Bärengasse
• Duration: until 30.10.2025
• Reason: Line extension
• Details: The measure will be carried out in two construction phases. The access roads "Am Johannisberg" and "Am Alten Schloss" will remain accessible for residents.

Friedrich-Engels-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 15.09.2025
• Reason: Pipe laying
• Details: In the direction of Ziegenhain, traffic will be diverted via Leo-Sachse-Straße and Haydnstraße. In the direction of the city center, traffic will be diverted via Kernbergstraße and Am Kochersgraben.

Forest road

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between house numbers 14 to 25
• Duration: until 20.12.2026
• Reason: Replacement construction of the bridge
• Details: The road will only be accessible from both directions up to the bridge. Depending on the construction work, there may also be parking and stopping restrictions. A temporary pedestrian bridge will be built. Until this is completed, pedestrian traffic will be routed alternately over the bridge to be replaced.

Isserstedter Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from house number 21 to the junction with Zum Ziskauer Tal
• Duration: The work in the entire district of Lützeroda will last until the end of 2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: The detour will be signposted.

Kahlaische Straße (sidewalk)

• Type:Complete closure
• Location: At house number 1 to 3
• Duration: until 10.12.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works and sidewalk renovation
• Details: Diversion via the adjacent road network

Church square

• Type: Traffic restrictions
• Location: Surrounding area of the town church
• Duration: until 30.08.2025
• Reason: Extensive construction work
• Details: Access to the town church and the stores will be guaranteed during the entire construction period. Cyclists must push in the restricted area. Bicycles may not be parked on the sidewalk or in the construction area.
• Leveling work and paving work is currently being carried out in front of the church.

Lommerweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the connecting path to August-Bebel-Straße (out of town after the underpass under Katharinenstraße) to Sickingenstraße
• Duration: until the beginning of September
• Reason: Maintenance work
• Details: A detour will be signposted. - Playground on Sickingenstraße remains accessible.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Fröbelstieg and Max-Wien-Platz
• Duration: until 31.12.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works and construction site transportation
• Details: The construction site can be bypassed via Helmholtzweg.

Lobeda-Altstadt

• Type: Temporary closures
• Duration: until 15.08.2025
• Reason: Fiber optic expansion

Löbdergraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: between Paradiesstraße and Ludwig-Weimar-Gasse
• Duration: until 30.09.2025
• Reason: Conversion work at the "Löbdergraben" stop
• Details: In the above-mentioned area, a one-way street regulation applies in the direction of Holzmarkt. At the Löbdergraben junction at the level of the Roter Turm, it is only possible to turn right in the direction of Stadtrodaer Straße.

Lutherstrasse

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: At house number 149
• Duration: until 30.10.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works and material deposits
• Details: Out of town, the half-sided closure can be bypassed. Inbound traffic will be diverted via Herderstraße / Sickingenstraße. The closure can also be bypassed via Erfurter Straße.

Moritz-von-Rohr-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Corner of Lichtenhainer Straße
• Duration: until 30.10.2025
• Reason: District heating installation
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Carl-Zeiss-Promenade and Lichtenhainer Straße. Resident traffic is permitted up to the construction site.

Mühlenstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Mühlenstraße/Lützow-straße junction
• Duration: until 23.12.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The detour leads via Lichtenhainer Oberweg. Traffic will be regulated by traffic lights.

Ritzetal and Berthold-Delbrück-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2025
• Reason: Work on the supply and disposal lines
• Details: The detour is via Am Steinborn and Eugen-Diederich-Straße. Bus traffic will also be diverted via Am Steinborn and Löbichauer Straße.

Schroeterstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from Strigelstraße to Forstweg
• Duration: until 31.09.2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: During the construction period there is no connection to Katharinenstraße.

Wiesenstraße, traffic circle

• Type: Closure
• Location: Brückenstraße closed from the tracks to the traffic circle.

• Details: The GWG Nord and Kunitz can be reached via the traffic circle.
