• Reason: Fundamental expansion of the area
• Details: The construction site can be safely passed on foot in the direction of Göschwitz station. A limited number of bicycle parking spaces will be provided opposite the streetcar stop in the green area. Alternatively, bicycles can also be parked in the western area of the station.

Buchaer Straße

• Location: Junction Buchaer Straße 6-12 up to house number 16

• Reason: Road renovation 1st construction phase
• Details: A detour will be signposted. The 2nd construction phase will take place in the second quarter of 2026.

Carl-Zeiß-Platz

• Details: The measure will be carried out in two construction phases. The access roads "Am Johannisberg" and "Am Alten Schloss" will remain accessible for residents.

Fritz-Reuter-Straße

Forstweg (bridge)

• Reason: Replacement construction of the bridge
• Details: The road is only accessible from both directions up to the bridge. Depending on the construction work, there may also be parking and stopping restrictions. A temporary pedestrian bridge will be built. The temporary bridge can be used on foot without restriction.

Forstweg/ Gustav-Eichhorn-Straße/ Am Birnstiel/ Okenstraße

• Type: Partial half-sided road closure and sidewalk closures incl. parking bans
• Duration: until 19.12.2025
• Reason: Laying of medium-voltage and low-voltage cables
• Details: The work will be carried out in stages - the construction site can be passed on foot. Access to individual properties may be temporarily restricted. Fire and rescue services can pass through at any time. 1st construction phase: between the transformer station at Forstweg 52 and the junction with Gustav-Eichhorn-Straße

Hermann-Löns-Straße 64

Lutherstrasse

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At house number 149
• Duration: until 19.12.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works and material deposits
• Details: Out of town, the half-sided closure can be bypassed. Inbound traffic will be diverted via Herderstraße / Sickingenstraße. The closure can also be bypassed via Erfurter Straße.

Mühlenstraße

• Type: various closures
• Duration: until 23.12.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The detour leads via Lichtenhainer Oberweg. Traffic will be regulated by traffic lights.
• Addition: From 20.10.2025, the Mühlenstraße/Lützowstraße junction will only be closed on one side. Traffic can use Ulrichweg and the Lichtenhainer Oberweg detour. The section of Mühlenstraße between house number 48 and Ulrichweg will remain fully closed.

Oßmaritzer Straße/ Bertolt-Brecht-Straße

• Type: Full closure
• Location: at the level of Bertolt-Brecht-Straße
• Duration: until 30.11.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works (drinking water pipe) as well as a surface renovation and installation of a crosswalk
• Details: The construction site is safe to walk through, a detour will be signposted. During the closure, local buses will travel via Hugo-Schrade-Straße and Ernst-Zielinski-Straße to Schrödingerstraße.

Ritzetal and Berthold-Delbrück-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2025
• Reason: Work on the supply and disposal lines
• Details: The detour is via Am Steinborn and Eugen-Diederich-Straße. Bus traffic will also be diverted via Am Steinborn and Löbichauer Straße.

Schroeterstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from Strigelstraße to Forstweg
• Duration: until 31.01.2026
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: During the construction period there is no connection to Katharinenstraße.

Stadtrodaer Straße (bus stop conversion)

• Type: Road narrowing and bus stop closure
• Duration: until 19.12.2025
• Reason: Barrier-free expansion of the Lobeda bus and streetcar stop
• Details: Temporary stops for buses and streetcars have been set up. These will be served as scheduled. From 18.10. until probably 30.11.2025, no streetcar service is possible at the Lobeda stop. Instead, the stop will be served by replacement buses for streetcar line 5 on its way from Lobeda-Ost to the city center. There is a risk of traffic jams.

Sankt-Jakob-Straße/ Thomas-Mann-Straße/ Kritzegraben

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: at the junction
• Duration: until 31.12.2025
• Reason: fundamental expansion of the area
• Details: People on foot or by bike will be diverted via Philosophenweg in the direction of Sankt-Jakob-Straße.

Tümplingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Tautenburger Straße and Kunitzer Straße
• Duration: until 19.12.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering work for the construction of house connections
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Wiesenstraße, traffic circle

• Type: Closure
• Location: Brückenstraße is closed from the tracks to the traffic circle.
• Duration: until 20.12.2025
• Reason: Fundamental redesign
• Details: The GWG Nord and Kunitz can be reached via the traffic circle.
