New closures / obstructions
Forest road bridge
- Type: Temporary full closure
- Duration: 20.01.2025, in the period from 07:00 - 17:00
- Reason: Tree felling work for the replacement construction in the bridge area
- Details: From 17:00 to 07:00, the area is open to traffic on one side only. Traffic will be regulated by traffic lights. The bridge can be crossed on foot at any time.
Kahlaische Strasse
- Type: Half-sided closure
- Location: At house number 41
- Duration: 21.01.2025, 08:30 am to 22.01.2025, 5:00 pm
- Reason: Accident (rail breakage)
- Details: Traffic will be regulated by traffic lights. The construction site should be avoided as traffic jams are to be expected. The area can be passed safely on foot.
Stadtrodaer Straße
- Type: Temporary closure of one lane
- Location: At Goldbergrampe
- Duration: 21 - 23.01.2025
- Reason: Soil investigation
- Details: The alternating lane closure (inbound and outbound) will take place during the low-traffic period (09:00 -14:30) and will last approx. 4 hours in each direction.

Dammstraße
- Type: Complete closure

- Reason: Laying of pipes and renewal of the road surface
- Details: A detour will be signposted. The construction work is divided into two construction phases:
1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße
2x Dornburger Straße
- Type: Half-sided closure + sidewalk closure
- Location: between Nordschule and An der Eule
- Duration: until 30.04.2025
- Reason: Reconstruction of the streetcar catenary system
- Type: Various closures
- Location: House number 6
- Start: 19.06.2024
- Reason: New house construction
- Addition: From 06.01.2025 to 31.10.2025, a one-way road (half-sided closure, driving direction into the city) will be set up in the area of Dornburger Straße 6. The closure will be used for loading and unloading and as a construction site facility. Out-of-town traffic will be diverted via Spitzweidenweg and Nollendorfer Straße.
Ernst-Abbe-Platz
- Duration: until 30.04.2025
- Reason: Construction work in the track area
- Details: Crossing facilities for pedestrians will be set up.
Grenzstraße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: Junction with Geraer Straße up to the railroad bridge
- Duration: until 30.04.2025
- Reason: Major roadworks
- Details: A detour will be signposted.
Isserstedter Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: from house number 21 to the junction with Zum Ziskauer Tal
- Duration: The work in the entire district of Lützeroda will last until the end of 2025
- Reason: Fundamental road expansion
- Details: The detour will be signposted.
Kahlaische Straße, sidewalk
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: At house number 4 in the direction of Sandweg
- Duration: until 30.01.2025
- Reason: Demolition work
- Details: The closure can be bypassed via Sandweg and Felsenkellerstraße. A detour will be signposted.
Church square
- Type: Traffic restrictions
- Location: Around the town church
- Duration: until 30.05.2025
- Reason: extensive construction work
- Details: Access to the town church will be guaranteed during the entire construction period. Saalstraße will be fully closed for transit/delivery traffic.
Lessingstraße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between Fröbelstieg and Max-Wien-Platz
- Duration: until 31.01.2025
- Reason: Civil engineering works and construction site transportation
- Details: The construction site can be bypassed via Helmholtzweg.
Löbdergraben, eastern footpath
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: between Steinweg and Lutherplatz
- Duration: until 28.02.2025
- Reason: Roadworks and media relocation
- Details: Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite sidewalk.
Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: At house numbers 8 - 30
- Duration: until 24.04.2025
- Reason: Reconstruction of wastewater sewer
Schroeterstraße
- Type: Complete closure
- Location: from Strigelstraße to Forstweg
- Duration: until 30.05.2025
- Reason: Fundamental road expansion
- Details: During the construction period there is no connection to Katharinenstraße.
Wiesenstraße, traffic circle
- Duration: until 29.11.2025
- Reason: fundamental redesign
- Details: Access to Kunitz and the adjacent industrial estate is only possible via Brückenstraße, but not via Wiesenstraße. A wide detour is signposted via Am Anger - Dornburger Straße - Camburger Straße. An emergency footpath to Kunitz and in the direction of Naumburger Straße leads past the roadworks.
