Jena exceeds the contagion mark of 35
In the last 24 hours, 13 new SARS-CoV-2 virus infections have been reported to the health department. This means that the city of Jena has reached a seven-day incidence of 37 and has exceeded the 35 mark. The state of Thuringia will be informed of this and further measures will be taken to contain the pandemic. A new general decree is being drawn up for this purpose, which is due to come into force on Friday. Information on the content of the measures has already been provided.
The calculation of the seven-day incidence is based on the population figure reported by the Jena statistics office on 19.10.2020: 108,127 residents with their main place of residence.
On the infections today:
Of 8 young people, 7 are contacts, 1 person is a travel returnee. 7 people show symptoms, one person has no symptoms.
Of 2 middle-aged people, one is a contact person with symptoms. One person was asymptomatic.
2 older persons were contact persons and show symptoms.
Among the cases, one infant is also a contact person and has symptoms.
1 person recovered, 1 person had to be hospitalized, 1 person showed a severe course of the disease.
