Jena fire department exercise on Friday with helicopter deployment

On Friday, September 9, 2022 between 2.30 and 4.30 p.m., the Jena fire department, the Thuringian police and the Jena city forest will carry out an exercise for airborne firefighting in the Jena city area. The focus will be on the use of a helicopter and its support by local firefighters.

Preparations, briefing, water extraction and the precise dropping of water will be practiced. As a result of this exercise, helicopter noise can be expected throughout the city on Friday afternoon.
