Jena fire department takes part in nationwide publicity campaign on February 11
Friday, February 11 is Europe-wide Emergency Call Day - to mark the occasion, a Twitter storm is once again sweeping across Germany: more than 50 professional fire departments will be reporting live on their Twitter channels several times a day about operations, training opportunities, vehicles and much more. In addition, interesting and exciting insights into the work of the fire departments will be provided. Topics include current operational situations, but also useful information about training, everyday life in the fire department and its special units, as well as prevention tips and advice.
In this year's special social media campaign, the Jena fire department is focusing on current operations and will provide an insight into the number of emergency calls in the city of light for 12 hours.
Under the hashtag #Jena112, the tweets of the Jenare fire department can be followed online on Twitter (@fwjena or https://twitter.com/fwjena)from 8 am to 8 pm.
The hashtag #112live identifies all tweets from the participating professional fire departments, scattered throughout Germany.
The Jena fire department has been active on Twitter since 2016 and reaches around 1,300 people with its operational reporting.
