Jena school fair on 09.11.2019

The Jena School Fair will take place next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Volksbad, Knebelstraße 10.

Support in choosing a school

With the school fair, the city of Jena wants to support parents in choosing a school for their children. Four new schools have opened in the city since 2011 alone. At the fair, visitors can find out about the various types of schools in the city and different educational concepts at around 40 exhibitor stands. All state and independent elementary school, community and comprehensive schools, grammar schools and the city's three state vocational schools will be on site. Parents, pupils and other interested parties are very welcome.

Inclusion, after-school care fees, student loans

Staff from the East Thuringia State Education Authority will be available at the fair to answer questions relating to school careers and inclusion. The City of Jena's Family Services team will be on hand to advise on after-school care fees and student loans. A representative from JenaWirtschaft will provide information on career guidance and the new JUPITER portal; the JenaJobBlog will also be presented.

Childcare will be provided. Language mediators will provide on-site support. Admission is free of charge.
