#JenaLiebe: Survey to strengthen the Jena city brand

09.07.2024

The city is actively committed to strengthening its city brand in order to ensure the future viability of Jena as a business and science location. Due to demographic change in Germany - and also in Thuringia - it is becoming increasingly difficult for companies and institutions to find enough qualified specialists who are willing to work and live in Jena. Yet Jena is a city with a high quality of life and an attractive place to work. In order to communicate this even more clearly and confidently to the outside world, the city's strengths are now to be worked out with the involvement of the citizens' voices and placed more in the focus of city marketing.

The renowned brand consulting agency Brandmeyer was commissioned to design the process back in 2020. Following an interruption due to the pandemic, the campaign has now been restarted. In a joint workshop, the city administration, JenaWirtschaft and JenaKultur worked with numerous communicators to develop the basis for the survey.

Survey starts on Thursday, 11.07.2024

On Thursday, 11.07.2024, the six-week onlinesurvey of the city's most important ambassadors will now begin. Who are the ambassadors of the city? They are not only residents of Jena, but also people who live or have lived in the region.

For participants from Jena without their own web access, for example, free PC access is available at the Ernst Abbe Library in Jena.

The results of the survey will be presented in Jena at the end of October and then incorporated into a communication concept. This will then form the basis for Jena's city marketing.

"Im eager to see the results of the online survey and what the participants specifically value about Jena. After all, we want to radiate even more effectively to the outside world with an attractive city brand. It's great that things are starting up again after the long break"commented Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche.
