jenarbeit moves from Tuesday

Jenarbeit is moving from 01.12.2020. From probably 15.12.2020, the Jobcenter of the City of Jena will be located entirely at Stadtrodaer Straße 1 and thus at the same address as the Employment Agency. Restrictions in personal accessibility are therefore to be expected in the period from 01.12.2020 to 15.12.2020.

Advantages of the move

The move offers several advantages. Thanks to its new location close to the city center, jenarbeit is easier for citizens to reach, especially by public transport. In addition, the shared location with the employment agency offers advantages in terms of cooperation - not only with regard to joint projects, trade fairs, exhibitions and other events.

Coordination between the two institutions regarding the transition between the social benefit systems SGB II and SGB III will also be easier. In addition, the Youth Employment Agency - which includes careers advice, youth case management and youth employment assistance - will be able to work even more intensively with young people in Jena under one roof.
