Jena's equal opportunity commissioner elected spokeswoman of the state working group

On September 13 and 14, 2023, the annual meeting of the state working group (LAG) of Thuringia's municipal equal opportunity commissioners took place in Pößneck, exactly 30 years to the day after its founding. The equal opportunity commissioner of the city of Jena was elected spokeswoman of the LAG for a period of two years. She will thus be able to profitably represent the topics of municipal equality work and, above all, the experiences from Jena in Thuringia and make them visible.

Topics that the committee will deal with include gender-specific digital violence and the amendment to the Thuringian Equal Opportunity Promotion Act.

Together with Dr. Kerstin Haupt, the following equal opportunity officers were also elected as spokespersons:

• Stefani Müller (Nordhausen City Council)
• Katrin Reif (Ilmenau city administration)
• Ulrike Quentel (Municipality of Eisenach)
• Martin Reinhardt (District Office Weimarer Land)
