Kommunalservice Jena expands program

Kommunalservice Jena is offering a new service at the Löbstedter Straße 56 recycling center. File folders and electronic data carriers can now be disposed of in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Two data protection garbage cans are available at the recycling center. The service is primarily aimed at law firms, doctors' surgeries and other data-sensitive businesses. However, private individuals can also take advantage of this service.

Data protection-compliant disposal is carried out by Saale-Betreuungswerk Jena, which is certified for this purpose.

The following costs are incurred:

• File folder, net price: 1.80 EUR/each
• Electronic data carriers "small" (e.g. cell phones, CDs, hard disks, tablets), net price: 0.80 EUR/each
• Electronic data carriers "large" (e.g. notebooks or laptops), net price: EUR 1. 60/each

If you do not require disposal in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you can continue to dispose of folders in the black garbage can and small devices in a small electronic waste container. This does not incur any additional costs.
