Live mediation in the town hall hall

The Netzwerk Mediation Jena e.V. is offering an opportunity to see mediation live as part of the "Day of Mediation".

On 17.06.2019, professional mediators will demonstrate how mediation can work in two role plays. This is a major challenge for everyone involved, as mediation is a highly individual process and you can never predict how the discussions will go.

Mediation is a confidential conflict resolution process and takes place in a protected space, behind closed doors. Participants in mediation, the mediants, can be any person or group in which conflicts arise. They present their concerns during mediation and are supported by the mediators in expressing their feelings, fears and wishes. The aim of mediation is to explore the true causes of the conflict based on mutual understanding in order to reach viable agreements for the future relationship between the mediants
