"Living in Jena 2023" survey launched
Social mood barometer
Quality of life and family friendliness are very important for the city of Jena. For this reason, a comprehensive survey on these topics was conducted among the Jena population five years ago. One third of respondents stated that they could rely on the support of other family members for childcare. For a quarter of respondents, help from grandparents would make everyday life easier.
After a comprehensive evaluation of the results, the social committee then decided to promote projects that offer assistance for everyday family life and support single parents as part of the implementation of the state program "Solidarity between the generations" (LSZ).
Second survey underway
With the second "Living in Jena 2023" survey, the city wants to find out how the situation and services for families in the city are currently assessed. It covers topics such as advice, support, education, leisure and culture.
In the coming days, 10,000 randomly selected citizens of the city will receive a questionnaire by post. This can also be completed online or by hand. Answering the questionnaire is voluntary and anonymous. The deadline for submitting the questionnaire is October 4, 2023.
Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche asks the recipients of the survey to participate in large numbers. The presentation of the results of the "Living in Jena 2023" survey is planned for the first quarter of next year.
The survey is being carried out with the support of the European Social Fund Plus and the Free State of Thuringia.
