Lost and found office of the city of Jena hands over donations in kind
The City of Jena's lost and found office regularly hands over donations in kind. A total of 18 packed bags containing around 330 items in good condition have now been handed over for charitable purposes.
The donations come from the lost and found office's collection and include clothing, rucksacks, care products, umbrellas and toys - all found items that have not been collected after the legal retention period has expired and are in good condition.
"With this regular donation campaign, we want to ensure that the leftover items don't go to waste, but end up where they are urgently needed," says Franziska Lange, team member at the lost and found office.
Distribution to those in need is carried out by the social services department in cooperation with various social institutions in the city.
The social services department is delighted with the support.
"Any help is welcome, especially in challenging times. This donation campaign shows how sensibly resources can be used to help others," emphasizes Sandra Kämpfer, the responsible project manager from Team JenaZentral.
