Major fire department operation at the Wenigenjena community school

A major fire department operation is currently underway at the Wenigenjena Community School in Jena. Police and emergency services are on site. The reason is that a brownish liquid was found in a classroom. Teachers and pupils then complained of respiratory problems and headaches.

The school is currently being evacuated and the emergency services are investigating the building. There are assembly points for the pupils in the POM sports hall. Parents are asked to pick up their children in this area. The school grounds may not be entered.

There is no acute danger.
