Mayor honors the work of the emergency services

Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche visited the Jena Rescue Control Centre and Police Stationtoday together with State Secretary Udo Götze, Head of Department Benjamin Koppe and Dr. Ute Bergner, Member of the State Parliament.

Christmas Eve is traditionally the day on which we would like to say thank you to the emergency services on behalf of the entire population - thank you for your work at any time and on any day of the year, including Christmas. This cannot be appreciated enough,

said Nitzsche.

To sweeten the shifts of the emergency services over the holidays, the mayor brought them stollen and other treats. The police officers and firefighters were also able to use the visit to express their wishes and suggestions for the coming year.
