A musical Christmas greeting from Erlangen

Under the motto "Pure Romanticism", a concert of the Camerata Franconia, an ensemble of musicians from various European countries and the metropolitan region of Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen, was planned for December 6th in our twin city Erlangen,

Now the program, which lasts about one hour, will be broadcasted via livestream with a greeting from Erlangen's Lord Mayor, Florian Janik, for the twin cities.

Janik: "Unfortunately, the corona virus is currently making direct exchange with our twin cities impossible and is causing many worries and hardships for you and for us. Against this background, the virtual concert from Erlangen wants to show solidarity with our friends all over the world during the crisis and give hope in these difficult times".

Dvořák and Tchaikovsky

Antonín Dvořák will perform the Serenade in E Major for String Orchestra, op. 22 and Pjotr Tchaikovsky's Serenade in C Major for Strings, op. 48.

Dorian Keilhack, pianist and conductor from Erlangen, not only directs the Camerata Franconia, but also holds the professorship for conducting at the Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck and is the principal conductor of the Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Violinist Lydia Hug from the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra will participate in the concert as part of the ensemble.
