New rescue vehicle for the fire department
The Jena professional fire department has a new rescue vehicle. The €200,000 purchase replaces a 7-year-old vehicle with 280,000 kilometers on the clock.
Patients can now be transported more gently and a hydraulic stretcher system reduces the strain on the rescuers.
The older vehicle serves as a reserve vehicle and had its official last run at the fire in the city center on Saturday morning.
