Climate protection agency Jena launches energy advice for citizens
The Climate Protection Agency Jena gGmbH can now be reachedat klimaschutzagentur-jena.de and is launching its free impulse consultations on energy and renovation topics for private households. To kick things off, the agency is hosting the first online event in the "Save energy, preserve the future" series on 25.11.2025.
Subsidies, refurbishment, heating replacement
The agency offers free initial consultations on energy-efficient refurbishment, thermal insulation, replacing heating systems and the use of renewable energies. Energy consultant Michael Otto is now accepting inquiries and advising homeowners and tenants on energy efficiency measures and current funding opportunities (e.g. BAFA, KfW).
"The energy transition starts with each individual - with refurbishment, heating and the conscious use of energy. We show how climate protection can be implemented in everyday life," explains Otto.
Online event "Save energy, preserve the future" on 25. 11.2025
To kick things off, the Climate Protection Agency is hosting the first online event in the new "Save energy, preserve the future" series on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 18:30 to 20:00.
The topic of the evening: possibilities for energy-efficient refurbishment of residential buildings.
Participation is free of charge, but registration by email to info@klimaschutzagentur-jena.de is required. The series of events will be continued in the coming year and the first face-to-face formats are planned in Jena in order to bring citizens directly into conversation with each other.
With you for tomorrow - Together for a climate-neutral Jena
The Climate Protection Agency is supporting Jena's path to becoming a climate-neutral city with advice, information, participation and projects and is supporting the implementation of initial measures in the city's climate action plan. Events and participation formats for citizens as well as free workshops in city districts are planned for 2026. The agency will provide regular updates via Instagram, LinkedIn and the WhatsApp channel with practical tips, hands-on activities and insights into local projects.
