Invitation to the social space conference "WerkStadt - Living in Jena-North"
The city administration of Jena cordially invites all interested citizens aged 21 and over to the first social space conference in the Jena-Nord social space. The event offers the opportunity to discuss the future of the district together, to make needs visible and to set new impulses for a lively, healthy and socially strong Jena-North.
The age limit of 21 and over was chosen deliberately: Separate participation formats - such as the youth forum - have already been held for children, teenagers and young adults this year; further events are being planned. In this step, the social space conference is therefore aimed specifically at adult residents of the neighborhood.
The focus is on central topics of everyday life in Jena-Nord: neighborhood, leisure activities, health, care, climate adaptation, safety, mobility and district design. Participants gain insights into existing projects, can contribute their own perspectives and actively participate in the further development of the district.
Kathleen Lützkendorf, Head of Department for Social Affairs, Health, Immigration and Climate:
"Jena-Nord is a district with great potential and a strong community. In order for this potential to continue to grow, we need the voices of the people who live here. The social space conference offers a space in which we can listen, learn from each other and prepare decisions together. I cordially invite all citizens from the north of Jena to take advantage of this opportunity and contribute their ideas."
Participation is free of charge and registration is not required. Childcare will be provided on site.
