Lost and found office of the city of Jena donates unclaimed items

22.12.2025

The City of Jena's lost and found office has once again donated unclaimed items to the social services department for charitable purposes. In total, there are around 500 items that are still in good condition and can be put to good use as donations in kind. The items donated include clothing, toys, cuddly toys, household appliances and various sports items and accessories. Numerous books and smaller everyday items are also part of the handover.

By passing on these found items, a valuable contribution is made to sustainability, as items in good condition are not disposed of but continue to be used.

The lost and found office regularly donates items if lost property is not collected after the legal retention period of six months has expired. In this way, they benefit social and charitable causes. Such donations are particularly needed during the Christmas period.
