Mayor Thomas Nitzsche goes on another district tour

Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche is once again going on tour through the districts of Jena to seek local dialogue. The first appointment will take place on Wednesday, 21.01.2026, in Neulobeda. The Lord Mayor will be a guest at the LISA district center from 6 pm.

Following the launch of the first district tour in spring 2023, visits to all Jena districts that had expressed an interest followed over a period of months. In this second round, Lord Mayor Thomas Nitzsche will once again be talking to the district councils in person at public district council meetings, to which all citizens are cordially invited. The main aim is to find out more about the issues that are of particular concern to each district.

Twice a year, the Lord Mayor meets with all 30 district mayors to exchange ideas. The district tour format is an addition to this in order to take account of the diversity of the 30 districts with their different topics and wishes.
