Promote volunteering now

Commitment deserves support. Applications for funding for charitable and voluntary projects in Jena can be submitted again in 2026. The funds are provided by the Thuringian Volunteer Foundation, and the City of Jena's Volunteer Advisory Board decides on the allocation of funds.

The funding is intended exclusively for the following areas:

• Organization of central and decentralized thank-you events
• Further training costs for volunteers
• Measures to promote volunteering and recruit new volunteers
• Expense allowances for volunteers

Kathleen Lützkendorf, Head of Department, says: "We look forward to a wide range of projects that make volunteering in our city visible and effective."

Clubs, associations, churches, recognized religious communities, foundations, initiative groups and public corporations are eligible to apply.

Important: The application deadline is March 31, 2026.
