Diversity Health

On March 19, 2026, the Health Department of the City of Jena invites you to the Health Department Day in the StadtLab in the town hall. Under the motto "Diversity Health", visitors can expect a varied day with information, encounters and exercise.

The nationwide theme day highlights the diverse work of public health departments and pays tribute to the people who work to protect local health on a daily basis. The focus is on the health of the entire population - with a strong preventative approach.

"The public health service protects health where it arises: in people's everyday lives. With prevention, advice and reliable structures, it helps to ensure that health risks are identified early and illnesses are prevented as far as possible. The Public Health Service Day shows how important this work is for our city and for a healthy society," says Kathleen Lützkendorf, Head of the Social and Health Department.

Program at StadtLab Jena

A wide range of information stands from the specialist health service will provide insights into the work of the health department - from prevention and hygiene to advice services. The pediatric and adolescent medical service, for example, will provide information on the procedure and content of the school entry examination,

In the morning, there are special offers for kindergartens and children can take the Muscle Sore Badge.
