Kettle goulash over an open fire

Kommunalservice Jena (KSJ), together with the Jena City Forestry Office, invites you to the "Waldschmaus - Kesselgulasch über offenem Feuer" event at the forum natura nature experience center on Friday, 24 April 2026. The offer is aimed at families and adults and combines cooking together with knowledge transfer about forests, game and sustainable nutrition.

From 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., participants will prepare kettle goulash together over a campfire in the open air. Regional game meat directly from the Jena city forest will be used. There will be a step-by-step demonstration of how to cook a goulash in a cauldron over an open fire.

The event takes place at the forum natura nature experience center, Otto-Schott-Platz 1 in 07745 Jena. It is designed as a family and adult event in the spirit of education for sustainable development and invites you to combine nature, regional food and shared experiences.

The participation fee is 10 euros for children up to the age of 14 and 25 euros for adults. Registration is possible until Tuesday, April 21, 2026, by e-mail to naturerlebnis@jena.de or by telephone on 03641 49-89465. You are welcome to bring a container in case there is leftover food.
