Changed opening hours
The Municipal Taxes team at Jena City Council will be closed to the public from Monday, May 11 to Friday, May 15, 2026. The reason for this is current staff shortages due to illness and vacation-related absences. The temporary closure is intended to ensure the best possible processing of ongoing concerns. Citizens are asked to submit their requests in writing during this time if possible - by email to gemeindesteuern@jena.de or by post to the Jena City Council. They will be processed according to receipt and urgency. Availability by telephone may be limited during this period. From Monday, May 18, 2026, the municipal tax team is expected to be available again as usual for personal consultations.
