Restrictions on the assessment of severe disabilities in Jena on July 1 and 2
Due to a Thuringia-wide technical upgrade of the specialized application for determining severe disability status, there will be service restrictions at the City of Jena’s Social Services Department on Wednesday, July 1, and Thursday, July 2, 2026. The specialized application is expected to be unavailable on both days. As a result, staff in the Severe Disability Assessment Division will not be able to process applications or provide information on ongoing proceedings during this period.
For this reason, the office hours scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2026, have been canceled.
This is due to a migration of the central database as part of the relocation of the Thuringian State Data Center. The City of Jena has no control over the timing or duration of the technical work. If the migration takes longer than planned, restrictions may continue beyond July 2. The City of Jena will provide short-notice updates regarding an earlier resumption of service or any possible changes.
The City of Jena asks for the understanding of all those affected.
