Temporary No-Parking Zones on Sophienstraße and Arvid-Harnack-Straße

Starting Monday, August 17, 2026, the municipal services department in Jena will be cleaning the storm drains on Sophienstraße and Arvid-Harnack-Straße. This will require temporary no-parking zones.

On Sophienstraße, the work will affect the section between Bibliotheksweg and Theo-Neubauer-Straße. On Arvid-Harnack-Straße, the work will also be carried out in sections. Cleaning is expected to take two to three hours per section. The work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, August 21, 2026.

Please refer to the attached overview for details on which sections are affected and the times during which the no-parking zones will be in effect. Once work is completed in a given section, the no-parking signs installed there will be removed.

The city asks residents and all road users to observe the signage and temporarily park their vehicles elsewhere during the specified times. This will allow the work to be completed as quickly as possible.
