Road Closure on the B7 Near Wogau Lifted Following an Accident

Federal Highway 7 was closed in Wogau on Monday morning around 9:45 a.m. (August 17, 2026) following a traffic accident. A car veered off the road and crashed into a tree. One person was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire department. No other people were injured.

The accident occurred near the entrance to Wogau when approaching from the direction of Jena. The professional fire department and the Christoph 70 rescue helicopter were on the scene. The road was reopened around 11:20 a.m.
