Jenaer on the Executive Board
Carsten Müller, Deputy Plant Manager of JenaKultur, was elected to the board of the European Association of Event Centers (EVVC) on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the association's annual general meeting in Frankfurt/Main.
Within the Board, he will be responsible for the topics of "Digitalization and Communication". His election means that the association now has an assessor from the new federal states for the first time.
Carsten Müller comments on his election: "The digital transformation is also in full swing in the event industry. It is not only the demands of event organizers in terms of technical equipment at event venues that are changing, but the entire customer journey is increasingly being shaped by digitalization. Our task is to provide the right strategic impetus for the digital future viability of our members and at the same time support them in coping with digital change in their day-to-day business."
The President of the EVVC, Ilona Jarabek, says of the joint collaboration: "We have come to know Carsten Müller as one of the innovation drivers in the industry in recent years and are delighted that he is now also contributing his expertise and passion to the work of the EVVC."
The EVVC represents the interests of more than 750 event centers, congress centers, arenas and special event locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, among others. In Thuringia, members include Messe Erfurt, Weimar GmbH and JenaKultur.
