  • Half-sided closure of Camburger Straße

    From Monday, 19.08.2019, Camburger Straße will be closed on one side between Leipziger Straße and Scharnhorststraße. Vehicle traffic in the direction of the city center will be diverted via Dornburer-Straße and Scharnhorststraße. The traffic lights will be adapted to the new traffic routing as far as possible. However, traffic obstructions are to be expected. A 400 TW cable is to be laid. The construction work began on 05.08.2019 and will end at the end of 2019.

    During the autumn vacations - from 07.10.2019 to 19.10.2019 - a full closure of the Camburger-Straße / Scharnhorststraße junction will be necessary for the rebinding work at the junction with Scharnhorststraße. Traffic will then have to be diverted in both directions via Dornburger Straße and Nollendorfer Platz.

  • Complete closure of Rautal

    The Rautal road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 19.08.2019 to 27.09.2019, including the Closewitzer Straße junction up to the entrance to Jena from the direction of Closewitz. The Rautal-Closewitzer Straße junction will be open to vehicle traffic again from 27.09.2019. Rautalstraße from Closewitzer Straße to the entrance to Jena from the direction of Closewitz will remain closed until 29.11.2019. The closure is necessary to install a new drinking water pipe and to completely renew the road surface in the construction area.

  • Closure of Johannes-R.-Becher-Straße

    The road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 19.08.2019 to 30.08.2019 for the renewal of the road surface.

  • Werner-Seelbenbinder-Straße: 16.09.2019 to 27.09.2019
  • Göschwitzer Straße: 30.09.2019 to 18.10.2019
  • Stauffenbergstraße: 21.10.2019 to 01.11.2019
  • Bernhard-Schultze-Straße, full closure between Am Steinborn and the junction with Julius-Schaxel-Straße,
    Reason: civil engineering work on supply lines, until August 27
  • Engelplatz, closure of the parking lot,
    Reason: preparation and implementation of the Kulturarena, until August 28
  • Lutherplatz/ Inselplatz, closure of approx. 1/3 of the parking lot, reason: archaeological excavations, until September 20
  • Mittelstraße, full closure, reason: renewal of the sewer between Otto-Schott-Straße and Kronfeldstraße, until August 30
    It is possible to drive around the construction site via the adjacent roads.
  • Naumburger Straße / Rautal, full closure, reason: expansion of Naumburger Straße between Camburger Straße and Flurweg
    The large-scale detour is via Brückenstraße - Wiesenstraße - Am Anger and back.
    Despite the barriers in Brückenstraße: Please do not try to drive through the residential area! Public and school buses drive through the small streets. "Creeping traffic" would massively obstruct local traffic there. In addition, the sidewalks are partially separated from the carriageway - the safety of school routes has top priority.

  • Schillbachstraße
    In the period from 12.08.2019 to 23.09.2019, there will be a complete closure of the roadway for vehicle traffic in the area of Schillbachstraße no. 23 (access from Steiger). Unfortunately, a detour is not possible. The closed area is passable for pedestrians. The closure is necessary in order to renew a domestic drinking water connection.

  • Schrödingerstraße 8 - 18, one-sided closure, reason: renovation work on the adjacent building, until November 8
  • Tatzendpromenade and Magdelstieg, full closure, reason: fundamental renewal of Magdelstiege from Gustav-Fischer-Straße to Tatzendpromenade and Tatzendpromenade from Magdelstieg to Lichtenhainer Straße, until June 2020
    The construction project is being carried out in two phases. The 1st construction phase is between Gustav-Fischer-Straße and Bertold-Koch-Platz.
    The detour is via Otto-Schott-Straße.
  • Westbahnhofstraße 2a to 6a, one-sided closure in the area of the retaining wall, reason: retaining wall renovation, until September 29
    If there is a traffic jam into the city, the roadworks can be bypassed via Rathenaustraße - Curt-Unckel-Straße - Hainstraße and An der Brauerei.
  • Westendstraße 7
    In the period from 12.08.2019 to 23.08.2019, Westendstraße will be closed to vehicle traffic in the area of house no. 7. Traffic will be diverted on site and the detour will be signposted. The reason for the closure is the excavation of the road for the renewal of a house connection line
